Beans & Rice – They Swing More Than One Way

Over the past year or so, I’ve fallen in love with beans and rice. These two starches have become a great staple in my daily diet, meeting many of my dietary needs! When you put them together, they’re the perfect complete protein option for those of you who stick to a plant based diet. Even if you’re a carnivore, you’ll still love this delicious rice and bean bowl! Throw some seared meat on there if ya need 😉

When I originally started eating beans on a regular basis, I was pretty much sticking to the theme of Mexican style. With this elimination of processed oil business taking place in my diet, I’ve had to reevaluate some foods and meal planning in order to keep my pallet satisfied, yet curious. Leaving olive oil and raw butter out of my diet definitely changes the rainbow of flavor!
