If you love a super dense cake, this one is definitely for you! Back in the day, vanilla cake with blueberries and strawberries was always my favorite!
I didn’t really know how to recreate that flavor, up until recently. To be honest, I’ve never really been a fan of coconut flour. I guess you could say this recipe helped me to fall in love with it.
I’ve discovered that it’s the perfect flour for the superdense cakes that I love, and love to share with others.
OK I know that it’s been a while since I’ve posted a recipe, but to be quite frank, I’ve had a complete redirection of focus and intentions as to what my message is with HealthyHumanz. Within the time that I haven’t been posting, there has been a huge learning curve, which I am so excited to share with you all through the power of the food!
Of course, I have still been experimenting in the kitchen with trials and errors of what works and what doesn’t. As of right now, my core focus is still to create an advocate foods that are oil free, primarily plant-based, and now, shifting into gear with more anti fungal foods.
I’ll elaborate why anti-fungal foods are important in a later post.
With that being said, I would love to introduce you to my latest recipe, cassava tortillas!
Everybody wants cookies, and I don’t believe a lifestyle change should deprive you from foods that have brought comfort to your life. Aside from everything nutrition, FOOD IS EMOTIONAL. We all have emotions tied to food. Even with years that have passed, we can all acknowledge that the smell of a certain something, or feeling a certain way can make us miss foods from the past. Food represents memories that warmed our hearts and bellies. Continue reading
Who doesn’t love apple pie? It used to be an ALL TIME FAVORITE dessert of mine, but its been years really since I’ve had it. It kind of just fell into the back drop of foods that I no longer engaged with because it was typically loaded with sugar and other junk. This all American food is a greatly desired one, but is rated high on the list of “unhealthy.”
As you most likely know, most pies are generally made with white flour, white sugar, and other junk that really shouldn’t even be available for human consumption.
Now for the homemade apple pies, those have the ability to be made with cleaner options. But what if it’s in the middle of the holidays, its 20 days till Christmas, or it’s summer time, you want apple pie, but have no intention of making your own from scratch or purchasing a questionable pie?
Christmas is just days away, and Hannukka starts tomorrow! With tables loaded with food, and left overs that are always exciting to look forward to the following day, here’s an easy recipe for you if you want to stuff in as many left overs as you want. This “omelet” is delicious, and is 100% plant based, if you choose for it to be 🙂 Continue reading
With the winter and holiday season here, naturally, we move to foods that have brought us the sweet sensation of comfort 🙂
What better way to satisfy your comfort than with warm cookies!
These cookies are a delicious treat, and they don’t punish the body 🙂
However, when making oil free plant based cookies, do be aware that they are not going to have that Mrs. Fields crispy crunch “Ness” to them. These cookies are preservative free, made to freely fuel your craving for comfort foods that are chemical and toxin free. Continue reading
Eating potato chips is a comforting taste, texture, sound, and memory most of us have from some point in our social lives. This is a “food” that has been incorporated as a part of family and friend gatherings of all sorts! I mean, who doesn’t love everything potato chips?
It’s been years since I’ve indulged in them, and I’m so excited for their welcome back into my life!
When there’s a will, there’s a way, and I believe this in full when it comes to creating a healthy lifestyle that allows the freedom to taste all of the flavors we grew up feeling comforted by.
