What I love most about eating an oil free diet is that it allows be to indulge in the true flavor of food, and the pleasure that comes in the simplest meals.
When consuming foods with oil, the flavor is covered up in what I like to refer to as slime, masking the full rainbow of blasting firework flavor 🙂
As I watch my clients convert their lifestyle into one that is oil free, there’s a face of fear that sets in as if there won’t be anything for them to eat! This face of fear usually lasts for about 1-3 weeks. This is a natural reaction, so I don’t blame them.
However, usually by week 3, they’ve fallen in love with the lifestyle because they LOVE THE WAY THEY FEEL!
Eating oil free is in NO WAY boring! It’s fun, creative, outside the box, flavorful, and fully supports a healthy lifestyle! If anything, it’s so much more of a mental mind game.
In the initial phases of oil free eating it can be very overwhelming. Totally understandable!
You are consciously choosing to change your life by shifting your paradigm into a huge form of self respect.

There are countless people that are not in a state of self love. Loving yourself is not just your spirituality. It’s how you treat your body, which is directly connected to the food you feed it.
I will tell you, along with my clients who are actively doing the work, oil free eating is actually quite simple 🙂
Most often, the bowls I throw together require very little planning.
It basically goes like this…
Open up the fridge, check what veggies I have, mix in a starch (usually brown rice or potatoes) throw in some ferments, plop on some condiments, then done!
If I’ve gotten a workout in that day, I’ll make sure to get my protein in that bowl too.
It doesn’t require much thought! This is why I believe you can enjoy a delicious healthy bowl at home made to perfection with your favorite tastes!
At the moment, this is one of my favorite bowls 🙂
2 red medium potatoes
1/4 – 1/2 head of broccoli
2 heaping table spoons of kimchi (or sauerkraut)
Organic BBQ Sauce (Oil free with no preservatives)
Yellow Mustard (Eden)
Few shakes of find ground black pepper, ground garlic, and pink salt
1 small pinch of Turmeric powder
Dice potatoes into quarters and place them in boiling water until they are fully cooked.
When potatoes are fully cooked, pour water out of pot, leaving a 1/4 of the pot with hot water & the stove off. At his point, place broccoli into pot with the lid covering the pot. Do not leave in pot fore more than just 3-4 minutes, just so that they can be lightly blanched 🙂
Once broccoli is lightly blanched, pour water out of pot, and place potatoes and broccoli into your meal bowl.
Top your veggies with sliced, diced, or whole half of avocado, then spoon out your kimchi/ sauerkraut over avo.
Sprinkle salt, garlic, turmeric, and pepper over the top of your bowl. NOW, layout your BBQ condiments on top.
If you want to use sweet potato, then go for it!
So, there you have it. That’s it!
This is one of the easiest bowls to make that greatly satisfies that BBQ flava craving!
If you’re an active individual, this is a delicious bowl to happily indulge in after your workout 🙂 I definitely do after a great long swim!
